What is the Ford ORV package

ford orv package

You’re ready for your first or next Ford off road vehicle, or ORV! The first obvious question is what elements and accessories come with ORV packages, and how does it vary from model to model in the 2024 Ford lineup?

Great news, Ford fans! This brand understands that the beauty of owning an ORV is being able to do all the cool stuff you want to with your rugged Ford, so the company has created ORV packages that will enhance your off-road driving and your ORV ownership experience.

In fact, Ford Performance division recently unveiled the new ORV packages for Ranger and Bronco at the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Marketing Association) trade show in Las Vegas, to rave reviews. How excited were attendees? MotorTrend® says that `both rigs look incredible,’ and that with these new kits, Ford brings `even more off-road beef.’  And Autoblog® contributor Byron Hurd reassured readers that yes, these are features available on new models, by subtitling his review of Ford’s ORV reveal, `Yes, you can actually buy these.’

Ford describes the 2024 Ranger and 2024 Bronco ORV packages as `a pair of turn-key off-road performance builds.’  The Ford Performance team laid out for SEMA attendees that the off-road Ranger package caters to the over-landing crowd: the package they previewed is available on four-wheel drive XLT and Lariat models, adding an ARB suspension kit, ARB front and rear bumpers with red-painted recovery points, SOLIS lights and an onboard air compressor- nice perk for a lot of reasons when you’re going off road. There’s also a 47-quart refrigerator/freezer accessory available on the Ranger ORV package.

The 2024 Bronco ORV package is less about parts and more about performance: With this package Ford showcased a 2-inch lift kit with Bilstein suspension upgrade, extra lighting as well as 17-inch white wheels clad in 35-inch tires. This fits nicely with Bronco’s sporty styling, as does the Bronco ORV package’s `unique’ software calibration for its 2.3-liter engine with high-flow Borla cat-back exhaust. Bronco’s ORV package has other features available including that air-compressor you see in the Ranger package, and an ARB jack and mount, available on the 4-cylinder Eco-boost equipped versions of the Bronco base, Big Bend, Black Diamond and Outer Banks models.
