Expedition
Full-size, three-row, and built to haul everyone you know and everything they bring. The Expedition has been the benchmark for a reason.
Big Family. Bigger
Capability. One SUV.
There are a lot of three-row SUVs on the market. The Expedition is the one you choose when three rows actually means three rows -- when you need adults to sit comfortably in the back, when towing a boat or a camper trailer is part of the regular routine, and when you want a vehicle that handles Fort Campbell move-in day and a long weekend camping trip near Land Between the Lakes without any sense of compromise.
Ford rebuilt the Expedition for 2025 with freshened styling, a more refined interior, and an upgraded tech suite -- so for 2026, buyers are getting a vehicle that still feels current and thoroughly sorted. The twin-turbo 3.5L V6 is one of the best engines in the class: smooth, quiet at cruise, and always ready when you ask for it. Nine-thousand six hundred pounds of tow capacity -- with the heavy-duty package that comes standard on most trims -- is a serious number.
Every 2026 Expedition also comes with Ford Co-Pilot360 Active 2.0 standard: a full-feature safety suite including a 360-degree camera that most competitors charge extra for. It's one of the reasons U.S. News calls the Expedition's base Active trim a strong buy without feeling like a compromise.

One Engine Family.
Two Very Different
Personalities.
Every Expedition runs the same 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 through a 10-speed automatic. The question is which tune fits your life: composed and efficient, or confident and hard-charging.
Twin-Turbo V6
Turbocharged, direct-injected, and notably smooth for an engine in this class. Builds torque low in the rev range, which is exactly what you want when you're moving a full load of passengers plus a trailer. Quick to respond, quiet at highway cruise. The right engine for most buyers.
High-Output V6
The same block tuned to deliver noticeably more urgency -- 40 extra horsepower and 30 additional lb-ft of torque. Standard on Tremor with 4WD. Available on Platinum through the Platinum Ultimate or Stealth Performance packages. Worth it if you regularly tow near capacity or simply prefer a quicker response when you accelerate onto the interstate.
Need More Room Behind the Third Row? Go Max.
The Expedition Max shares every trim level, engine, and powertrain option with the standard Expedition. The only difference is 9 extra inches of wheelbase -- and what those inches do to cargo space.
If you regularly travel with all three rows occupied and also need gear behind the third row -- camping equipment, sports gear, strollers -- the Max is worth every dollar of that premium. It seats the same number of passengers; it just carries significantly more behind them.
Full-Size Presence.
Refined Where It Counts.
The Expedition's exterior got a meaningful refresh for 2025 -- cleaner lines, F-150-inspired front fascia, and trim-specific differentiation that makes the Active, Tremor, Platinum, and King Ranch feel genuinely distinct from one another.
- F-150-inspired front grille and LED headlight signature
- Tremor adds unique grille, skid plates, black exterior trim, and gold accents
- King Ranch brings bronze-painted 22-inch wheels and power running boards
- Platinum includes 20-inch wheels and fixed running boards
- Available Stealth Appearance Package for blacked-out exterior treatment on Platinum
- Available panoramic sunroof on Platinum and above
- 360-degree zone lighting available for improved site visibility in low-light conditions
A Cabin That Takes
Itself Seriously.
The 2026 Expedition's interior is where the investment shows. Genuinely usable third-row seating, power-folding seats on higher trims, a center console that slides and adapts, and available massaging seats that make a long run between Clarksville and Nashville considerably less taxing.
- Seating for 7 (captain's chairs) or 8 (bench) across three true rows
- Third row is adult-capable -- not just a technical specification
- Available power-sliding center console (Platinum and above)
- Available multicontour massaging front seats (Platinum Ultimate)
- Available ambient interior lighting and 360-degree zone lighting
- Heated and ventilated front seats standard on Platinum, Tremor, and King Ranch
- Heated second-row captain's chairs standard on Platinum and above
Load It Up.
Then Load It Up
Some More.
The Expedition's cargo story is one of its most compelling -- and the Expedition Max takes it further. When everyone's in the vehicle and you still need room for gear, the Expedition delivers where most crossovers run out of room.
- Available PowerFold third-row seats for one-touch flat-floor access
- Standard-wheelbase: substantial cargo behind all three rows
- Expedition Max adds 37.4 cu. ft. behind the third row -- class-leading
- Long center aisle in Max models with 40/20/40 flexible third-row seating
- Power liftgate standard on Platinum, Tremor, and King Ranch
- Integrated tailgate lighting on available trim packages
Long Drives Get
a Lot Quieter.
The available rear seat entertainment system is the kind of feature that pays for itself on the first long road trip. Available on select trims and packages, it keeps second and third-row passengers occupied while the front row actually enjoys the drive.
- Available rear-seat entertainment system with dual screens
- Video streaming capability via the Ford Connectivity Package
- Available B&O Unleashed Sound System -- 22 speakers with subwoofer (King Ranch / Driver's Package)
